Be Part of Poems of Positivity at Lumiere Vancouver
What makes you feel good? A moment of laughter, a favourite song, a glowing sunset, the sound of someone you love—whatever sparks joy, hope, or comfort in your world, we want to hear it.
Lumiere Vancouver is partnering with @orloskystudio to create Poems of Positivity, a radiant new light installation made from community-contributed words. And your voice can be part of it.
Share Your Words. Light Up the Night.
Between now and Sunday, October 19th, we’re gathering short phrases from the public—simple expressions of happiness, gratitude, connection, or peace. From these submissions, Orlosky Studio will create nine glowing poems that will be illuminated during Lumiere.
These poems will appear inside vibrant, prism-shaped towers lit from within. Each one will shine with contributions from people across our community—a shared portrait of what lifts us up.
Your words could become part of that light.
✅ How to take part:
Submit a few words at this link, or leave a comment on our post. That’s it! Your phrase might be selected for one of the illuminated poems at this year’s festival.
Examples of what you might share:
• Morning coffee and quiet skies
• Laughing so hard it hurts
• Holding hands in the cold
• Family dinners
• Sunlight on the ocean
• Music in the kitchen
• A deep breath after the rain
Whether it’s a memory, a feeling, or something tiny that makes you smile—your contribution matters.
Why It Matters
Lumiere has always been about connection through creativity and light. Poems of Positivity continues that tradition in a new, community-powered way.
By sharing your words, you’re helping build one of the festival’s most meaningful installations—one that reminds us how we shine brighter together.
